LeBron James' 'Uninterrupted' issues letter to Alabama over copyright infringement

Cleveland Cavaliers superstar LeBron James has an issue with University of Alabama head football coach Nick Saban. It's not over something Saban said, but rather, the vehicle that he used to say it. Last week, the official Twitter account for  Alabama football released a trailer for "Shop Talk," with Alabama alumnus  Julio Jones joining Saban and other football players for an off-the-cuff roundtable discussion in a barbershop setting. James, on his multimedia platform "Uninterrupted," has previously released two installments of the web series "The Shop" and filmed a third, featuring the Cavs star and friends, business associates, and sports and pop culture figures having free-flowing conversations while getting their hair cut. On Monday, "Uninterrupted" sent a letter to Alabama addressing concerns over copyright infringement and intellectual property appropriation. "The Shop" was developed by...

QB Geno Smith agrees to one-year deal with Chargers, source says

Former New York Jets and New York Giants quarterback Geno Smith has reached an agreement on a one-year deal with the Los Angeles Chargers, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter. Smith signed a one-year deal with the Giants before last season that netted him less than $2 million to serve as the backup to Eli Manning. He made one start and performed admirably in a Week 13 loss to the Oakland Raiders, throwing for 212 yards with a touchdown and no interceptions (but two lost fumbles). He went back to the bench when Manning was reinserted as the starter after coach Ben McAdoo and general manager Jerry Reese were fired. The Giants signed Smith as insurance, and he beat veteran Josh Johnson for the backup position last summer. Smith, 27, was originally a second-round pick by the Jets in the 2013 draft. His four rocky seasons with the Jets -- two as the full-time starter -- were best remembered for his broken jaw, which he suffered...

Hassan Whiteside fined for 'comments detrimental to the team'

The Miami Heat fined center Hassan Whiteside an undisclosed amount Sunday for "comments detrimental to the team" in response to his remarks Saturday night expressing frustration with his role. He went on an expletive-laden tirade after Miami's 110-109 overtime loss Saturday to the Brooklyn Nets, when the Heat missed a chance to clinch a playoff spot, saying he should play more and might be better elsewhere. The team had no additional comment Sunday. Whiteside didn't play in the final 21 minutes on Saturday -- the last four of the third quarter, then all of the fourth quarter and overtime. The Nets went small, so the Heat went small.  The Heat's highest-paid player questioned why the team is matching up when "we've got one of the best centers in the league." "A lot of teams don't have a good center," Whiteside said. "They are going to use their strengths. It's bulls---. It's really bulls---, man. There are a lot of teams that can use a...
